About Us

One member of The King's Church said of his first visit, '...it felt like coming home.' We are a family church, in the sense that we wish to look after one another like family. Ages range from noughties to nineties, with a strong sense of inclusion encouraged.

Worship is informal, with Spiritual contribution welcomed from the congregation. We are are a fellowship where we hope no 'mask of respectability' is required. God welcomed us into His church just as we were, we hope to become more like Him.

The church believe that the Lord performs miracles in people's lives to this day, answering the Spirit-led prayers of His church.

The teaching is first and foremost biblically based. King's is led by the team of elders. We do not practice 'heavy-shepherding' (over-bearing pastoral involvement), believing instead that all members of God's church should be able to discern His perfect will for their lives through the guidance of His Holy Spirit. We encourage members to develop a strong and personal relationship with The Lord.

The leadership are not paid by the church.
We are a charity supported by the tithes and gifts of our members. We also support a number of other charities including local outreach, practical help in the community and several charities supporting children in financially poor regions of the world.

The King's church are not large in number, however every member is serious about their spiritual growth.
Services are occasionally punctuated by interruptions from children with special educational needs, however this is preferable to no interruptions due to no children!

If you are looking for a local church like King's, or would simply like to know more about the Christian Faith, you very are warmly invited to join us.
