At King’s Day Nursery School all children are given equal opportunity to participate in activities, those with disabilities or learning difficulties are shown great respect and treated as individuals, this is not to the detriment of support to their peers.

We invite parents to come along and discuss their child’s special educational needs if relevant.
We endeavour to accommodate these needs, although sometimes may propose that more specialist care to be of more benefit to the child and recommend such. All children with Special Educational Needs are assessed on an individual basis. We have a dedicated Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator (SENCo), who works alongside children with a particular need.
Our SENCo encourages the child to participate in the main structure of the room; she will also work closely with other agencies involved with the child externally.
